This open source platform reached its peak in the 2010 financial year. Magento is still the fastest growing ecommerce platform globally.

CF Engine

This is a software which automates huge IT computing. In this way it makes sure that some critical services and applications are readily available. CFEngine is among the leading projects of this century. This project was a brain child of a post doctoral fellow in Oslo University.
This open source technology is now being run on many computers worldwide. Some of the prominent corporations using the technology include NASA, LinkedIn and AT &T.

This is a special online video platform in the world of open source technology. Its solutions are backed with plenty of flexibility via the use of media management. The company is reputed for developing custom application for its clients. This open source technology is mostly put into use by service providers, website publishers and educational organizations.

This is a relatively new open source technology which gives developers permission to come up with mobile device applications by the use of a simplified java code.
