Ubuntu 12.10- No Unity GUI(missing sidebar in ubuntu 12.10)

Install unity Package  first

sudo apt-get install unity

To see what will happen.

For now, it might be easier for you to use some other DE, such as Gnome-shell.

sudo apt-get install gnome-shell

Then restart Your system .
