Wipro launches affordable Ubuntu based desktop PC for SMB sector

Wipro, one of the leading Information Technology companies in India, has announced a new low cost desktop PC for small and medium business units in India and Middle-East.

The computer features a 6-Core AMD FX 6100 processor, 2GB DDR 3 memory, 15.6’ TFT monitor, 760G AM3+ motherboard and will come with Ubuntu Linux pre-loaded.

Wipro today said it has launched a desktop PC for small and medium businesses which has low-cost 6-Core AMD FX 6100 processor and Ubuntu Linux operating system.
"Wipro Infotech, the India and Middle East IT business unit of Wipro, today announced the launch of its new 6-Core AMD FX 6100 processor-based SMB desktop," the company said in a statement.

The AMD FX 6100 is a low-cost advanced technology CPU with high-speed and Windows 8 compatibility.

"Our endeavour is to offer high-end graphics and sharp HD entertainment to our users at an affordable price bracket. AMD FX 6100 provides high performance with complete customisation and flexibility for PC enthusiasts," Wipro India Head Client Systems Saumitra Rai said in a statement.

"We are excited with the launch of Wipro SMB desktop based on our award winning 6-Core processor. We are confident that the young consumers will take full advantage of our technology expertise and enjoy multimedia content," AMD India Director, Transaction Business Raghuraman P said.
