Ubuntu After Install: Automate "Things To Do" After Installing Ubuntu

The newly Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail will be released in this month. A lot of Ubuntu users will follow "things to do" tutorial after installing a new Ubuntu release such as installing some cool applications, configuring some basic options, and more. If you have not enough time to install those applications one by one, you might consider to use an application called "Ubuntu After Install".

Ubuntu After Install is a simple application for Ubuntu. This application is capable to do automated installation a lot of useful extra software on Ubuntu after the initial desktop install. Ubuntu After Install will install the latest version of listed software as well as adds the required PPAs to keep software up to date.

Install Ubuntu After Install on Ubuntu
Well, all you need to do is download its DEB package from its official website. Once downloaded, install it by executing the following command:
  • sudo dpkg -i ubuntu-after-install_1.4_all.deb
Once installed, you can access Ubuntu After Install from Accessories section of the menu.
