Adding antique border to imges using gimp

Using gimp we can make a photo look antique by adding the border to it like the older photos used to have.

Launch gimp, and open the photo to which the antique border is to be added using

file->open

Now click on

filter->Decor->Antique photo border

It will launch a menu as below

From the menu we can select

Border Thickness : The thickness of the border we wish to add Edge Radius : The radius of the curve at the edges of the border Border Color: The color of the border

Click ok after entering the required values.

After gimp finishes its job, we should see the output as below.

The new image with the border can be saved in required format

File->Save As
