- All configuration modules are now present in Cinnamon Settings.
- Added "desklets" on desktop. The same way you can add applets to your panel, you can add desklets to your desktop.
- Ability to install spice from the desktop. There is no need to open web browser to download spices.
- Better hot-corner configuration
- Coverflow Alt-Tab
- Timeline Alt-Tab
- Horizontal/Vertical maximizing of windows
Installing Cinnamon on Ubuntu is a piece of cake because there is a PPA which contains the latest stable release of Cinnamon. So, open Terminal and execute the following comman:
Once installed, please logout and you will see Cinnamon session on your Login screen as shown in the picture below:
- sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-stable
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get install cinnamon nemo
If you decided to remove Cinnamon, simply run this command:
- sudo apt-get remove cinnamon nemo
Good luck!
