As written on the application name, Indicator Stickynotes rely on its application indicator, you can access most (probably all) of its features there. Below are some tasks that you can perform on appication indicator of Indicator Stickynotes:
- Creating new note
- Show and hide all notes
- Lock and unlock all notes
- Change the application settings
- View the about page
- Quit the application
Indicator Sticknotes is written on Python 3 and GTK 3. It's supposed to work on Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin and Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal (Unity, GNOME Shell, XFCE/Xubuntu, with partial support for KDE/Kubuntu) and Linux Mint 13 (MATE and Cinnamon). Personally, I have tested it on Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal (XFCE) and everything works well.
Installing Indicator Stickynotes on Ubuntu
Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin and Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal users can install this simple application by adding its PPA:
- sudo add-apt-repository ppa:umang/indicator-stickynotes
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get install indicator-stickynotes
Once installed, you can access Indicator Stickynote from Accessories section of the menu.
